The Dundee Messenger are focused on providing the best local news for our readers by encouraging local people to write about the news and issues that effect them.

Our new video below features bands from the 80s who are appearing at The Rewind Festival, Perth during the Summer, Clare Grogan's band Altered Images, The Lightning Seeds and Ultravox performing Vienna.

We are looking for writers to contribute article to the publication, You don't need any experience or qualifications to write for us,  You don't even need to contribute on a regular basis, all we require is a decent standard of writing and that you live in or around Dundee.

As a columnist you can write about whatever you like – news, sport, features, local history, you may even make a little extra income from contextual advertising which we will gladly set up for you.
