As orders pass the 10,000 mark, Citroën’s innovative C4 Picasso has just
received the Best MPV prize from Auto Express magazine, meaning that now almost
every major motoring magazine has named the stylish people carrier as the very
best in its class.
This virtual clean-sweep of
the year’s major honours includes being named Family Car of the Year by Top Gear
magazine as well as Best MPV by both What Car? and 4X4 & MPV Driver
magazines. Not only did What Diesel Car? name the C4 Picasso their best MPV but
also their outright Car of The Year winner.
“Citroen’s C4 Picasso is one
of the most striking and handsome MPVs money can buy,” explained David Johns,
editor of Auto Express. “It’s not only the contemporary look that makes it a
deserving winner – it’s equally impressive inside, too. It’s packed with
delightful design ideas and features that make life on board more entertaining –
you name it, the C4 Picasso has it.”
Winning awards is one thing,
but the 5 seat C4 Picasso and the 7 seat Grand C4 Picasso are also proving
successful where it counts most – winning the hearts of buyers. Just a few
months after launch, Citroën has taken its 10,000th order, outselling the Ford
S-Max in the process.
The 10,000th customer was
Dave Boustead of Exeter who had previously used a Citroën Dispatch van for his
business. Mr Boustead said: “I was instantly impressed by the vehicle’s striking
and distinctive design. It’s perfectly suited to my business, family and golfing
requirements.”
