The DSA official online mock Theory Test questions cover a variety of topics relating to road safety. As in the real test, these tests use a mix of 35 questions drawn from all sections of the question bank to test your knowledge.
Important:
Scoring more than 30 out of 35 on this test does not guarantee a pass when you take the real theory test under proper exam conditions.
The theory test consists of 35 multiple-choice questions on a range of subjects, including: Alertness, Attitude, Safety and Your Vehicle, Safety Margins, Hazard Awareness, Vulnerable Road Users, Other Types of Vehicle, Vehicle Handling, Motorway Rules, Rules of the Road, Road & Traffic Signs, Documents, Accidents, and Vehicle Loading. The minimum pass mark is 30 and the time allotted is 40 mins.

The Hazard Perception test
The Hazard Perception test is now taken at the same time as the theory test. It involves showing candidates various video clips filmed from a car, with each clip containing one or more developing hazards. You will be marked on reaction time to the developing hazard rather than answers to specific questions.
When you attend the Test Centre you will be asked to produce your provisional licence, a valid passport or some other form of identity with a photograph and signature. If you do not have these items you will not be allowed to take the test and the test fee will not be refunded.
If you are well prepared you should pass your test on the first attempt. Some Driving Instructors have mock test papers available and these should be returned for marking and discussion on the next lesson.
The local driving test centre is situated at Unit 1 Faraday Court, Dryburgh Industrial Estate, Dundee. DD2 3UD
