Driving lessons are expensive, so learning to drive with an instructor who is registered with the Driving Standards Agency can save you time and money,
Every approved instructor has passed a three part examination and is subject to periodical checks of their driving abilities.
The Register of Approved Driving Instructors (ADI) was established in October 1964 and has been maintained by the Driving Standards Agency since April 1990.
Learning to Drive
The traditional method of learning to drive is to pay your instructor an hourly tuition fee. With weekly lessons you learn to drive at a leisurely pace. The theory and practical tests are taken when you and your driving instructor agree that you are competent enough to pass each.
Choosing this option means you can spread the costs of tuition and take as long as you need while learning to drive.
Intensive driving lessons
Many people opt for an intensive course after they successfully complete the theory test. This option is probably the most cost effective method of obtaining your full licence.
Choosing an intensive course means that you will learn to drive in a short period of time, there are various durations of intensive courses available in Dundee, and the one you choose will depend on how much experience you have.
