The Law Hill is Dundee's highest point, so when I say the 'Law Hill' what goes thorugh your head ? How much do we really know about it.?Formed around 400 million years ago, Dundee Law is the plug of an extinct volacano which has been used by Human settlers for around 3500 years.
The beautiful War Memorial pictured was erected in 1923 to honour of the fallen of the Great War, the beacon is lit on four occassions throughout the year;
25th September - Battle of Loos
24th October - United Nations Day11th November - Armistice Day
Remembrance Sunday.
The cities highest point at 571 feet was a pictish settlement during the Iron Age and has been used as a defensive hillfort as late as the 17th Century.
