How to Grow the Perfect garlic Bulb

Growing Garlic couldn't be easier, simply breaking apart a bulb and planting individual cloves in the ground will ensure you have plenty of fat, juicy garlic bulbs for any of your culinary and medicinal uses, The traditional day for planting garlic is the winter solstice but in reality Garlic Cloves can be planted anytime between November and April, the best results however are obtained if the garlic cloves are planted before Christmas.

Folklore surrounding Garlic

Garlic is surrounded by all sorts of legend and lore, from warding off vampires to curing cancer, this vegetable has been written about since time immemorial, it is even mentioned in the bible [Numbers 11:5], We are only interested in growing and using garlic in a variety of delicious recipes, but in respect of ancient knowledge we always try our best to adhere to the traditions associated with it.

How to plant Garlic

Garlic grows well in any sunny, fertile soil, simply plant the cloves just below the soil surface 15cm (6in) apart and in rows 30cm (12in) apart and you'll enjoy an abundance of this popular vegetable.
