made at DCAEXHIBITION OPENING: MADE AT DCA
Bringing together for the first time print works by some of today’s most internationally acclaimed artists

University of Abertay, Dundee – The Hannah Maclure Centre in Dundee announces the exhibition Made at DCA - A Retrospective of Seven Years Collaborative Editioning on view from 21 September through to17 October, 2007. For the first time ever this exhibition brings together print work by some of today’s most internationally acclaimed artists. Artists such as Claire Barclay and Martin Boyce, not known primarily for their print work, are encouraged to step out of their usual practice and explore visual possibilities through the medium of print, with some outstanding results.

Initiated by Dundee Contemporary Arts Print Studio, Made at DCA is now in its 7th year and has successfully worked with artists from across the globe producing a significant collection of editioned print work. This exciting print publishing programme brings together the vision and talent of the artists exhibiting as part of DCA’s internationally renowned gallery programme with the skills and support of their state of the art Print Studio.

A portfolio of print editions produced by Made at DCA is on permanent display in the DCA shop and sales support print exhibitions and education programmes. HMC, by taking it out of its usual comfort zone, presents a rare chance to see the entire collection together for the first time in one exhibition. Allowing the audience access to one-off pieces and giving an excellent insight into the development of what is growing into an extraordinary portfolio of work by some of today’s leading visual artists.

Opening Launch Event 20 September 6.00pm – 8.00pm [photo opportunity]
