Dudhope Castle is one of the oldest building in Dundee, the original castle consisted of a tower house constructed by the Scrymageour family in the 13th Century following their appointment to Hereditary Constables of the City by William Wallace.

The Castle and office of Hereditary Constable were acquired by John Graham of Claverhouse in 1683, Claverhouse better known as Bonnie Dundee become famous for leading the Jacobites to victory at Killiecrankie in1689.

Dudhope Castle has been used for various cultural and community purposes recently and is now home to the Dundee Business School of the University of Abertay.
